For more than 25, years Seattle business attorney Dirk Bartram has helped numerous companies through complicated financing and private securities transactions, reorganizations, and business mergers, purchases and sales. He has advised businesses in a variety of industries and of a variety of sizes, including local, regional, and national corporations.
Dirk routinely helps businesses further strategic objectives through successfully completing major transactions; protecting business intellectual property; advising on real estate leasing, purchase and sale; developing stock option and bonus plans; negotiating supplier, sales, licensing, and distribution agreements; and advising on ways to resolve operational legal matters.
Dirk serves as external general counsel for a number of Seattle-area businesses. In this capacity, he is known for his ability to quickly synthesize complex legal matters and develop solutions consistent with company objectives. He additionally helps companies resolve disputes in the pre-litigation stages when possible, and manages litigation counsel in cases in which litigation is commenced.
Since 1986, I’ve helped people and businesses buy, sell and create companies, and to complete other transactions that are key to their advancement. I enjoy helping business evolve, solve problems and prosper. At our firm, we take a vested interest in the long-term growth and success of our clients.
The more that we get to know our clients and their businesses, the better that we can help serve their interests. Understanding key business objectives allows us to provide strategic legal business counsel in connection with transactions and operational issues. We also are available to provide proactive business counsel, such as determining what measures or action can be taken to minimize the risk of infringement, securities or breach of contract lawsuits.
On behalf of our firm, I would look forward to having the opportunity to learn about your business, and would invite you to call me at your convenience.
Prior to co-founding Henke Bartram, Dirk practiced at the Seattle law firms of Vandeberg Johnson & Gandara and Helsell Fetterman LLP, where he was Chair of the Business Department. Dirk is a speaker on business law and law firm practice management at WSBA legal education programs. He is past Chair of the WSBA Solo and Small Practice Section. Dirk received his law degree and MBA from the University of Washington. Prior to practicing law, Dirk was an Army officer who managed the maintenance and repair of missile systems in Europe and the United States.
When not helping clients solve business problems, I volunteer for non-profit boards, providing them with expertise on corporate and intellectual property issues. I backpack with my sons and son-in-law. Favorite place to hike: near Mount Rainier in Washington State. I also fly fish with other authors of piscatorial myths, including my friend and law partner, Dan Henke.
